![]() Barrymore was a major at Baskerville, and he had inherited the position from his father. The Grimpen Mire was turned into the Grimpen Minefield, which surrounded the Baskerville. Sir Henry Baskerville was made into a wealthy man named Henry Knight, whose father had been killed while he watched. It was a top-secret military managed lab and weaponry. Another significant change was how Baskerville wasn’t even a person. Watson as a “conductor of light” in the book as well as on the show. ![]() It created a more modern feel to it if those characters would’ve been men as they were in the book, there wouldn’t have been a single female in the episode! Another aspect of the episode that I enjoyed was how they used direct quotes from the book. The first major changes that I noticed from the book to the TV episode was that both Stapleton and Dr. I found it interesting to compare and contrast the characters, setting, and events throughout the show. After finishing the book The Hound of the Baskervilles, our class watched the BBC Sherlock episode “The Hounds of Baskerville” (Season 2, Episode 2).
